Azshara you look rather stable here this must be from before Xavius oh-so-geniusly opened his portal to nowhere and Sargeras et your brains.

She is very purple yes.

(It's photoshop over pencil crayon; there was an ungodly smudge on her nose for no reason I can discern, so I messed with it XD; )

When I first heard about her, just in concept, I was like, 'holy crap she's basically what would happen to Gilgamesh if Enkidu never came along.'

I do want to write about her even as she makes me go 'gweh' on account of power balance issues XD; Like, what leads someone to go "you know what'd be an awesome idea, 24-7 HARDCORE GLAMOURS!" when their people already love them and heartmark madly at them? I suspect she was profoundly insecure deep down (else why the doomglamours) and only got more so as she actually became super-hollow.

She should be complex as fuk really XD So if I ever write about her she's gonna be...

Heh ... and I suddenly had a flashback to BtVS S5 when Giles asks Buffy what Glorificus is like, and Buffy says, "She's a lot like Cordelia, actually."

(And I mean S1 Cordy, who was just "Well of course I'm the center of attention, it is my due.")

I sort of concept Azshara thus: her ego become so inflated by all the worship (which I would like to think had some justification at some point: she had to have had QUALITIES) that she actually bought the nonsense about Sargeras being the only consort worthy of her. ~ Which maybe fits in as another piece of that complexity you mentioned.
