I wish I could have made it legible in 100x100 format (I tried for about an hour, and couldn't without cropping out his hands, which I didn't want to do). I may still try, but until then I can use it on messageboards.

FLOOR GROPE!

he has some amazing damn sprite animation, honestly. I think honestly he is one of the best animated ones I've seen. The GAK X_O expressions when he gets hit are lolarious, and the handgestures he does when he's casting are just badassed. And then there's the grabbyhands. Which okay hands are hard to draw and a clenched fist can look superweak if you don't have a way to express the tension.

D. Lich Esq. does not look like he's just loosely holding his fingers curled, that's a freakin' GRAB and part of the reason it looks so damn good is they have him with his hands open like in the id=con for a sec before he goes *SQUISH* so you have some contrast and BLAAAHHH I squee over things nerdily.

...Every time I watch him nuking 900RedYoshi's team I'm convinced that sometimes bosses have a certain jackass sentience to them (see also: Sephiroth Supernova-ing everyone and then bitch-slapping Cloud in Code's FF7 game of death, Dracula's owning of MalusCalibur, etc.).
