Secret of ZOMGFAILZ
Mmmmmyyyyeah, I was right. I needed to grind.
SPOILERAMA FOR SoM BEYOND THIS POINT from the Pandora Ruins to the Scorpion Army's first dorking!
I wish the A.I. in this game was not the lord and master of HURP DA DURP. I tried to fight the scorpion army's first dorkbot, everyone got moogled, NO ONE WAS MOVING AWAY EVEN WHEN I SWITCHED CHARACTERS, we kept getting stuck in stun animation anyway because Kilroy the Robot kept on spamming its spinny-mallets-of-doom attack after Popoie got stuck in a corner and I could NOT get him outta there, so we ALL got lodged in the corner because my luck was abysmal last night, and the usual knockback of the spinny-mallets-of-doom attack didn't do much of anything, so...
To make a long story short I got hilariously pizz0wned.
*SIGH*
That's the second biggest reason why I grind so hard (the first biggest is that I am a completion ho - LEVEL 8.99 SPELLS HERE I COME!) - because sometimes, the A.I. of a game just hates you.
Oh well. And I'd been hoping to get to the part where we all annoy Geshtar for the first time too (awwwwww who's a cute little green hoverbike otaku?) but I guess it was not meant to be!

At least it was kind of a FUNNY demise. This little brown robot spinning like a mofo in the middle of the screen and me going "What - wait WHAT!?" Usually the spinny spinny death death attack knocks SOMEONE or another out but no, all it did was moogle all our asses and reduce our defense to *SPLAT*.
All I can picture is the villains laughing their asses off at the n00bs XD;
*SHAKES FIST* NEXT TIME YOU'RE GOIN' TO THE RECYCLE BIN, DORKBOT. *seethe.*
Also goddamn I'm loving this extended dialogue patch version. I'm slowly but surely uploading all the caps I make of fun dialogue and stuff. XD The added dialogue is still very much in the spirit of Woolsey's translation (poor guy only had 30 days to do SoM wat) and it really does help expand/clarify the storyline and give you a bit more about who these characters are.
Like for example the fact that the first demonwall is Thanatos's fault. APPARENTLY HE GOT BORED OR SOMETHING AND DECIDED "HEY DUDE YOU KNOW WHAT'D BE AWESOME"? I don't know. He also seems to like speechifying at heroic punks. XD still though, dude is a damn FUN villain and FuSoYa did a good job of making him creepier. I mean even with what Woolsey had to work with he already WAS but. Yeah. Dude ain't right.
Gaahhh those ruins are fucking EVIL. And I hate the tomato guys, they are im-goddamn-possible to hit. Fuckers.
Yeah anyhow I'm gonna go beat on the Iffish by Undine's cave or something.

It was like *SUPERNOVA!* *Pale Horse!* *PIMP SLAP* and Cloud would go down like a ton of bricks or be status owned to hell and back. Code would resurrect him and he'd get pimpslapped again and be a minifrog afflicted with slow petrify, and Code's out of frigging MP now so he has to spend a turn giving Yuffie an ether and by that time Sephiroth has slapped Cloud to death again -
It was really, really deranged.
Like, I know there's stuff like Xenogears, where Grahf is programmed not to attack female units, but then there's shit like 900RedYoshi's squabble with the Dark Lich, which is describable only as THANATOS IS A MOTHERFRACKING GODDAMNED TROLL. It starts about there with the Floor Creeper attacks and then everything just all goes downhill...
There's similar dickery in NintendoCapriSun's LP, during which a character gets snowmanned JUST as they're about to bust out with a necessary action.
I keep going, "...You're an ASSHOLE, you know?" And then I get sporfly noises in my head. :B
I'm trying to remember who got utterly punted by the second Wall Face of Doom but I can't right now. Blehh.
But yeah. I - sometimes I swear the game's mocking me. Pirouetting Kilroybot of Death was REALLY special.
