yukiePondering about Vicky's and Jer's specific power-set:
These are granted by Somna the Dreamweaver (in Benighted). Other universes would mean different deities involved of course.
Teleportation is not what phasewalking is. WTF people constantly accusing me of this zxsfademfg,uws3rdrtgef no, dammit not even vampires on Drac's power level can do that in Benighted, what they do is shadow-walk (popping into and out of shadows or even the astral plane--think dark corridors a la KH) and distance is limited by power and travelling this way at length is tiring, so while Sigismund the crabby Hungarian eldervamp could probably walk to China that way he wouldn't because it's tiring.
(Seriously I constantly have had to explain to people that it's not just voiping. Of course, most of these people are powergamers. Either way they'd repeatedly accuse me of 'teleporting all over the place' to the point where I eventually stopped using that ability in RP.
One of these twanks got really whiny when his ZAMG CAN CUT THRU TEH AIRZ N DOMENSHUNSZ sword was not allowed to get an autohit on Vicky. I used to RP with some really stupid people back pre-2005.)
Medb/Erlking = monarchs of the Nocturnal Court.
Titania/Auberon = monarchs of the Diurnal Court.
Neither of these duos are exclusive, fae tend to be polyamorous. And no, Vicky's fae don't have Seelie/Unseelie.
Jer and Vicky's Mojo
-Dream-walk (what in says on the in, they can wander around in dreams. They tend to do this in bird-shape because it's speedier.)
-VICKY: Phase-walk (What she's doing is physically slipping into and out of the liminal space between waking and dreaming. Kindred to corridor-ing but she can't go between worlds. See also Lilith from Borderlands. Vicky will be able to stay in this place for longer as she gets more epic. She moves faster travelling this way because physics aren't to an extent. While phase-walking, Vicky could theoretically be intercepted, but locating her would be a pain in the spine and would require one to be of Medb/Erlking/Titania/Auberon power level or higher. Even for them finding her would not be a sure thing, as the nature of the liminal space means she might appear on their 'radar' as being five places at once. The only person who can immediately find her is Somna the Dreamweaver, on account of because guardian deity.)
-JER: Phase-pocket (Not teleporting! XD Jer can pull himself and a given number of people into the liminal space for a set amount of time--it'll get longer as he gets more epic. Time doesn't really have a normal here, so it's an ideal place for healing or rescue. Finding and breaking into Jer's little pocket would require one to be of Medb/Erlking/Titania/Auberon power level or higher. The only one who can deifnitely find him and enter the pocketspace is Somna the Dreamweaver.)
-Empathy (like it says on the tin)
-Empathetic synchrony healing (i.e. using her mana to kick someone else's healing into overdrive and fuel it--think instantaneous Stage IV sleep. obviously NOT a battle-heal--Jer on the other hand CAN battle-heal by phase-pocketing himself and his patient. While using this ability, Vicky and Jer do spend mana on it, and they appear to go into REM sleep.)
-Somna's Veil (general term for guardian-deity-granted shielding-fu. Other gods' wards have different names.)
--Ward (your basic low-level barrier spell, though they're creative with it--Vicky will ward her hands and feet if she's in a fistfight with goons, for example.)
--Grand barrier (a time-limited ubershield like a paladin bubble. Really munches mana if you try to hold it up too long.)
Fae wings
-Are astral/ethereal, ditto for youma wings. They also work as damn good mana storage networks/conductor antennae. if you see Vicky or Jer with wings visible IRL, expect magic-fu. Fae with perma-visible wings are either really old, really uber, or both.
Fae have move'y ears, so do youma. They are capable of purring. They have clawlike nails, though they don't retract. Their hair works like cat hair or bird feathers--coarser guard hair on top, softer under-layer. Fae have elliptical pupils; youma pupils are an ellipse with a tiny crossbar. (The name both groups have for this is Manah's Thorn, after the goddess of spring and air who enchanted the gate between realms so's it's not seeable by human types.) They have a vestigial second eyelid. Also, tiny fangs.
