I definitely see what you mean about the architecture and set dressing. The hookahs and gauze curtains in SMC, yeah. The blood elf art nouveau railings and fountains are my favorite in the game, I think. But I think the way nelf/belf cultural values are arranged isn't coded to anything in particular besides classic fantasy tropes. I always thought Elune was based on the classic Elbereth from Tolkien.
