The universe loves you, but it's an unpredictable place.
Making someone a legend means they get remembered, and we all live forever in the river of light, but - this life, no matter how you panic and chant that it can't end so soon for someone so important to you, someone so beautiful and strong and talented and who looks so damn good in those pants...it can.

Don't think a sword or a bullet could never kill your legend. Just don't think that way. Plain old metal can kill a LOT. Trust me on this one. It did in - ...yeah. Did in someone we all thought could never die by plain old ordinary stupid terrestrial metal. I was stupid to think that way. Hell, I was the stray mortal bullet more times than I wanna even say. Yeah, that was what i did, who I was. I was the dream wrecker. They sent me in to smash people's altars.
Fate's a bitch and a half and it'll troll you. The harder you hang onto an ideal the harder fate will shake you until you just fall off and land on your ass. And if you've hung on too much, it'll be a bitch to get back up because you haven't been standing on your own.
