Oh, this is going to be disjointed as all hell XD Be prepared for me to edit things in as I remember what we did when. it all kind of blends together into a rainbow coloured explodio of awesome.

SO!

SATURDAY: After inhaling a corned beef sandwich with the spiciest effing dijon EVER at this little random deli in Pearson, I was off into the wild blue shiny wossname at about two-fifteen. Arrived in NYC about 4:30, and...uh...they stuck me in the domestic terminal again, which...what? Um. Okay apparently according to the administrators and stuff at JFK airport, Canada is domestic. RIGHTEE-O! So Kyl and her mom found me okay anyhow, and we braved some epic construction-y traffic, got Wendy's, and flopped in the A/C. And discovered that Wendy's drink lids are really really...yeah, it's easy to miss the straw hole and punch a giant aperture into a random place in the lid...

SUNDAY: Pride Parade XD First one I have ever been to, and it was super freaking joyous because on the Thursday of the last week, NY legalized gay marriage, so the joy was the size of a very big huge thing. Just. Dang. XD Kyl's friends Andre and Annie were there and Annie lent me a rainbow overskirt and armbands. And she had a corset she made out of Rainbow Brite print sheets she found I-don't-know-where but holy hell it looked amazing. She has the mad skills. The parade rocked socks. Epic music, epic COSTUMES, gorgeous people, everyone was super freaking happy, and I have beads XD And there is now a picture of me and Kyl being snuggly by the Gay Street sign. Yes, there really is one. And I saw the actual Stonewall Inn. Woo! After the parade, we had awesome Chinese food for dinner (beef with snow peas OM NOM NOM NOM), and then went home and faceplanted. XD We did a lot of that. Awesome day then faceplant!

MONDAY: We saw PotC4, and then went to Shake Shack. There was a lot of epic walking around before that, and I walk as fast as Kyl even though I a much shorter lol I am speedy. Anyhow! PotC4 is stand alone-ish from the trilogy, though it is a sequel. it's not a part of the big fat trilogy storyline but it does continue from that. And there are mermaids, and a chandelier cream puff, and - yeah. I won't spoil it. It's not a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, but i's fun. STAY FOR AFTER THE CREDITS XD So we went from there to Shake Shack and unfortunately got stuck in front of some pasty hipsters who would not shut up and found ourselves wishing for sudden crypt fiends. Anyway! We got us some foods, and the sun went down, and FIREFLIES WERE EVERYWHERE. Oh lord. I haven't seen so many in years and years. Fireflies in NY are smaller than the big fat roundbutt ones we have up here, and they're a lot faster. AND THERE WERE SO MANY OMG yeah I'm okay what do you want from me, fireflies + attention deficit disorder = lolololol.

There was also discussion of ghoul squirrels. Go us. XD

Seriously though, NYC squirrels are gangsta. THEY COME RIGHT UP TO YOU LIKE OxO - it's like the Queen's Park squirrels only pushier.

TUESDAY: Was lazy in the morning XD But we went to the Metropolitan museum of art and stood in - actually the least boring line I've ever stood in (just because the Met is rad) for 45 minutes to see the exhibit of Alexander McQueen's work. And. Yeah. Worth it. SO WORTH IT. It's like - put BDSM aesthetics, Romantic and Victorian and a bit of Art Nouveau semimorbid/spooky, MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF TALENT, some completely epic, weird and amazing methods of presentation and I can't even brain to describe it. Suffice it to say, it was worth the wait, and I got the photo book of the exhibit. 45 bucks for a hardcover book that size (it's roughly 9x12 I think, I should measure it yes) is UNREAL. I love you, museum. The exhibit was pretty crowded, unsurprisingly, and so I was too short to see some of the smaller accessories that were below my eye level. Above, sure! Below AHAHAH I'm at eye level with most people's shoulders shush. XD

WEDNESDAY: This was a longass day and we ended up faceplanting like dangs at the end of it but OH MAH LORDIE, so worth it. We went up to the Cloisters, and while there was a minor hiccup in that we went out the wrong subway exit door, we had a really nice (if whoa exercise) walk up to the building. NOTE: Kyl makes epic sandwiches XD Best freaking picnic lunch ever. And the Cloisters is amazing. I like medieval architecture a lot, and it's full of that. And books, and wood carvings, and - pieces of buildings - dammit, it RULES, and the herb garden's gorgeous. I can't even describe this place. So pretty. So much fun. MANY BUTTERFLIES. My poor ADD. XD

We went from there to the stadium where I saw the first baseball game I've ever been to. Go, me. OMG FUN AS HELL. And the food. Oh man the fooood. There is nowhere in New York that has bad food that I have been. I had the best nachos in the free world, and garlic fries, and freaking epic lemonade. And all the Yankees are hot. I don't even know what that is, but they are. Also, Nick Swisher is adorable. Also, A-Rod's shapely butt. tl;dr wtb more sexy baseball players XD And they're all really freaking NICE, too, from what I've seen and heard.

The stadium also has a soft ice cream place that serves ACTUAL SOFT ICE CREAM, not like, frogurt. SO GOOD. Holy hannah. Foods. XD Garlic fries, BEST NACHOS FUCKING EVER, lemonade of the gods, etc. By the time we got home we were dead, and the train was - epic, but not that bad. NY subways make more sense than the TTC XD;

That the Yankees won goes without saying. XD Anything I didn't get, Kyl explained. So now I now a little more about baseball. I AM SMUG.

THURSDAY: We had the laze XD Wednesday steamrollered us so we were v. lazy and slept in and then in the evening Kyl's mom took us all out down to Coney Island to get Nathan's Hotdogs and...

...Okay best hotdogs I have ever freaking had omfgdfjhksdfklhjkflg. For serious. Usually I'm not mad about hotdogs unless they're (a) Hebrew National or J. Kwinter, or (b) cooked on a stick over a campfire but oh man THESE. I have started putting just mustard on hotdogs now because it's freaking good that way.

FRIDAY: I didn't wanna go home XD;; Kyl showed me some rad WoW things and make me wanna level faster so I can actually play it myself lol. Kyl's mom made awesome lunch, I packed up, and - shortest drive to an airport ever, seriously. I DIDN'T WANNA GO XD; I wanted to velcro lol. JFK is quite easy to navigate, surprisingly. There's weirdness with multiple flights boarding at the same gate and alphabetical sub-gates and blah anyway I had a Frosty ad we boarded.

And then we got delayed.

AND DELAYED.

AND--you get the picture. Luggage didn't match passenger manifest, we had to taxi all the way back to the damn gate from being SECOND IN LINE TO TAKE OFF dsfkgjhadfguiyoaergfgj I wanted to smack a thing. Suffice it to say, when they told us they were comping one freebie drink I got a Baileys with a ton of ice.

Over Toronto in the air I saw many fireworks displays XD It was so freaking cool. Mom and dad met me at the airport and gave me a ride to their joint, whereupon I faceplanted, and Harley climbed into my suitcase. XD

AND THAT WAS MY TRIP AND THIS WAS THE MOST DELAYED REPORT EVER. I blame my attention span fail, forgetting what happened on Monday and being too dense to ask Kyl WTF we did, YAY. XD

New York rules and I'm going back again gdi. XD
