(It's not as arty-farty as Muqq's SWP vids, but it's certainly a cut above the usual "raid footage with techno soundtrack" ... mostly because you can actually hear the NPC emotes (though I know you're no fan of Kalec/Anveena :p) and Bluerose did a great job of actually editing the various pieces of music for emotional impact.)

((Sorry to geek out, but for some reason I just love that fight's loregasticness in general, and that video just ... gives me a GirlGamerHappy every time i watch it.))

I don't mind Anveena as a PERSON--she's the only person in the godsbedamned Sunwell trilogy who has a lick of sense. She tells Jorrad to can it when he's all BLUH IT'S DANGEROUS, saves Kalec's ass at the risk of her own, and she has cute sandals. (I like Tyri too, even though Tyri is completely a shounen protagonist with a bosom XD) Her character concept, however, makes no real sense at all, no matter how you slice the papaya. When Arthas threw KT into the Sunwell, it was defiled. BOOM, right on the spot, pwned. In WC3, it turns black and purple. There is no mistaking that for anything else but Scourge Cooties. This energy started to kill the high elves, and Kael (WHOSE DESCENT INTO BLUH BLUH MAKES NO SENSE sorry bitter elitist asshole disliking arbitrary plot crap, don't get me ranting on the wasted potential that is garrosh and varian, i will never shut up) then had to detonate the Sunwell. This is the root of the horrible withdrawals FROM HELL! Anyway...there's really no space or time in which the energy could have been transmogrified into a Tsukino Usagi XD

Also I dislike the rawness of the deal she gets; it's more idiotic Knaak sexism (like moe-blob damsel Tyrande), and in context of what's befallen the rest of the WoW femmes it makes me bitey.

Kalec just...bored me and the relationship he had with Anveena seemed really one-sided crushy. XD; Which...I dunno, I'm not sure what it is about it in particular that makes me side-eye it like a disgruntled cat. Maybe I just have issues. I probably just have issues. OH WELL! XD

That video kicks ass though. KJ's voice is hawt. ;p

I do love the voice acting in that - Kalec's "Strike Now, heroes!" bit actually tears me up every time .... but there's another chunk of me that grumbles every time at his "Anveena, I love you! ... come back for me now [and perform suttee >.< ]".

Yeah, the Sunwell manga ... was a great disappointment to me (except for Pimphat!Dar'Khan :p) since I really had hoped it would have some Kael and KJ-ness. (Yes my bias is on display for all to see. I HAVE NO SHAME.) ~ And the whole "Krasus comes by and squirrels away bits of GOOD Sunwell energy in his cheek pouches and makes Dawn Summers out of them" ...

(What is with this "re-accumulated" nonsense? As you point out, it was corrupted, not exploded into little liquid globules.)

And yeah ... I hear you on Kael. My pet impossible brain worm since BC has been to map out a plausible sequence from point Admirable A to point totally Ridiculous B.

Yeah, Kalec's VA is good! But - ehn, yeah, I feel ya. I have a Big Problem with "woman-as-selfless-sacrifice-or-general-victim-all-the-frickin'-time (when she's not cray-cray or a betch)". Ex-Catholic bitterness for the loss. XD

...The idea of dragons with cheek pouches has made me giggle madly now, and I've just pictured Krasus all like *chipmunk cheeks and dorky grin* and Alexstrasza's like, "Hon, stop eating the marshmallow peanuts all at once."

Knaak is pretty infamous for not even having played fuck, which is why he wouldn't know a damn thing about hwo the Sunwell worked; I really cannot stand people who boast about that, like--I don't think it's impossible to write something you've not played (god knows I do enough with Kingdom Hearts and I've only spectated), but you do need to do your everlovin' homework. Knaak obviously does not, as he labours under the mistaken impression too that a bit of Galakrond's pinkie claw or something would protect DK!Trag Highmountain from the Lich King. Not so much, you endlessly lunk-knobbed neck-beard, Galakrond is the Scourge's ongoing rez project...

Pimphat!Dar'Khan is hilarity. So, too, are the thigh-high boots...and his ENDLESS GUSHING ABOUT ARTHAS. Oh my gods, when I saw that, I kept going, "HOLY CRAP LOL". I was hoping Kael'd be in the manga too though. I ship him, Rommath, Halduron and Lor'themar as a big elfy catpile so yeah. XD

Seeing more of KJ would have been fun, too. I mean, hell, Burning Crusade happens in part because he's the worst ex-husband ever and has been stalking Velen for 20 000 years. (The other reason it happens is because Night Elves are bad at thinking things through. Way to open a portal to nowhere, Xavius, you chump-sovereign. Now Sargeras knows we're here and we dinged his ego the first time he tried anything so he's gonna be EVEN WORSE now. Who the HELL opens a portal to nowhere!? *cough* Er yes. I like the Night Elves but they really are responsible for a lot of issues Azeroth currently has, directly or indirectly...)

Man XD I don't think I could map that out. Kael didn't strike me as the sort who'd lose faith in Illidan and do an acrobatic triple axel right off the handle. It'd take some major work... I don't think it's un-doable, I just can't do it myself, hehehe.
