yukiethe times i wish i could render my brain's FMVs in full polygonal glory.
like now, and this:
Kirua "Kilroy" Roi, in proto-entity Alpha mode (think Aya Brea's Liberate form only with more fronds), shutting down the Deep Ground deskjockeys and restrictors like she was the sysadmin for Dark' City's Strangers.
Floating in like the air was water, making eye-contact with someone, smiling, extending one hand.
"Sleep. Now."
And of course I'd have to bust this badboy out for BGM.
Alpha is--well, in the FF7 malarkey I share with my friend JDub, there's four proto-entities - Alpha and Omega, Chaos and Cosmos. All of them are weird, all of them are kind of key to the general balance of life. They're kind of planetary sys-ops.
(Alpha will say as much: "All things serve the Cycle. All things serve the Balance. Even we. Especially we.")
As much as Alpha is sort of the tree hugger hippie type (she's the originator, kind of the Brahma--she's aligned with darkness, water, birth/rebirth, and creation), she's also...kiiiiiind of frigging terrifying.
I mean. It goes without saying that Chaos would be since he's the necessary change/entropy guy.
But Alpha is still very alien, and even if the nature of her relationship with Kil is much more symbiotic and integrated...she's still unnerving in the supreme uncanny valley sense.
If anybody's played Outlast and watched the way Walrider moves, Alpha is similar, but she has a less "sandy" feel to her and a more fluid one. Her wings are like lionfish fins. She's bioluminescent. There's something really not-quite-right about her eyes and her pupil shape is fricking weird. In bright light it's very apparent. She kind of has like gecko or cuttlefish pupils.
I desperately need to DRAW HERRRRR but. Yes.
Alpha doesn't like Deep Ground; she's basically going to wreck their shit because she doesn't fancy how they've been treating people and getting ideas from Jenova (who she thinks is an asshole). Also they were rude to Chaos and he is her brother so now people are going to get frond-slapped.

like, she looks like she could easily survive and thrive in the abyssopelagic zone and go pat some giant squid and be friends with a gulper eel. seeing her loitering in the air on land is eerie on a visceral level. IREALLYNEEDTODRAWHER lol
