i'm trying to like, encyclopedia-ify the way magic works in my various projects and etc.

AND IT'S REALLY DIFFICULT LOLOLOLOL

at least i have some rough categorizations (however much they overlap) - elemental, ceremonial, conceptual, divine (as in granted by divinity), innate, adapted.

the idea's been tumbling around in my head for a little while being a pair of socks in a dryer. and just getting the vague categories down helps? and so does the knowledge that many kinds of magic can exist in one person.

like if you have element-water, the concepts associated are like flow, tide, cycles, soul-related stuff. element-shadow is related to hidden stuff, mysteries, denied things, hidden workings, emotion etc.

the way it all works is like...god it's this hilarious stew of tarot business, any magical system i've ever clapped eyes on made into a smoothie, weird folklore, and i don't know what XD
