-JFK airport has some o the most cracked out signage I've ever seen. What the fuck is that, airport. Like, what the fuck.
-Kyl's mom reminds me of my maternal grandpa for some reason XD
-New York is busy all the time I think. Toronto quiets down; this city does not. it kind of rocks.
-Toronto will never be like this. NY has so much more history to it. I can FEEL it. Toronto is the dorky younger sibling city.
-Everyone thinks the TTC still using tokens is hilarious. AND IT IS. XD
Day Uno = Ren Faire
-I am a more hardened cynical consumer than the clothing vendors thought, alas. Even if the bodice made my boobs look cute I'm not paying that much for work I can get done better for less.
-Kyl's friend Andre's GPS is on crack. So much crack.
-Jersey drivers are really that insane.
-The WTC site is now a construction site; someone who knows *eyes him* says that everyone has moved on and now things can start over again, new life from the memory of old.
-WTF with the rain.
-Yellow Cab drivers are on crack.
-Robaxacet makes me a stonerola, I am never taking it again. I'll find some other thing
Day Dos = WALKING TOUR OF EVERYTHING YAY.
-Holy crap Katz's Deli best effing sandwich ever.
-Subway signage that MAKES SENSE. Stations that are NAVIGABLE. TTC, you should fucking look into this shit. I know no system is perfect but NY's is a lot more sensible.
-The trains are cooler too.
-I have such a crush on Kyl.
-GOTH CLOTHING SHOP IS FUN.
-Now I have vetivert and dragon's blood oil from ye pagan shoppe. Apparently my pagan-ness is obvious. I remain a cat magnet.
-The crush increases.
-Thanatos won't shut up. XD
-Neither will anyone else for that matter.
-CHINATOWN FTW.
-Om nom nom Carmine's Italian food NOM. Isaac's on cloud nine. He had a nyangasm.
-TIMES SQUARE SO BRIGHT.
Day Tres = My aunt taking me cool places!
-Empire State Building = fomg fomg art deco love fomg. The stairs were evil after a long day walking though.
-Saw the Egypt stuff at the Met and some of the other displays on the first floor I have a few photos. Alas I didn't get any photos of the Book of Going Forth by Day I was basically magnetically drawn to... Me being drawn to funerary things was a theme at the Met. Amusing: the translation by the BoGFbD pointing out spelling errors and scribe quirks.
-The Temple of Dendur really is in there. Big Bird however is not. (If anyone else gets that one, WOW. XD)
-Espensive sammiches. Good, but pricey.
-"Oh what's that pretty sculpture with the robed - oh for fuck's sake it's what. ...Thanatos, stop being a friggin' smug cat."
-Bryant Park is so green.
-Mmmm gourmet hot chocolate.
Day Quatro = The Met in more detail, avec Kylski
-It closed early which was annoying, but hey.
-Bonus preening Lestat and happy Adrian!
-SO MUCH CRUSH OMG.
-The theme of me being drawn to funerary stuff continues. "Oh oh oh oh red figure pottery look--FLOSSING CHRIST." See also: the ancient Greek grave markers. The sarcophagi.
-Isaac having another nyangasm at the arms and armour exhibit. His spear, it turns out is an ACTUAL ITALIAN DESIGN circa the 16th century. The Met HAS ONE OF THEM. It really is called a chauve-souris. And he sproinged. He was fortunately not the only one fanboying, some Metalocalypse adoring guy was going all goshwow over some maces. XD
-Musical instrument exhibit so very cool. They have a rock crystal flute and a Stradivari violin in there. And I know gekkin on sight thanks to YKK, and there were sitars ergo joyous Demyx.
-I like the Perseus sculpture in there. he doesn't look like a wang; he seems to be sympathetic to and feel regret for Medusa.
-The fully furnished 18th and 19th century rooms. Oh my god damn they're beautiful. I can't even describe it.
-CHANDELIERS! One was huge. Simon coulda' swung off it easy.
-The Asian art section was gorgeous but we didn't get to see it all. The replica Ming scholar's garden made Yisou happy.
-Central Park is so greeeen.
-There was a ridiculus old friendly Westie terrier in there who had the best bark ever: "wroo-roo!" Also a speeding dachshund.
-Isaac was made of noise. MADE OF NOISE.
-Trump fails at typography. Really dude, Helvetica? Fuck no. Not on that building.
-Though there's a pretty fountain.
-Lestat eyebrowing us at every Sephora.
-More good food. BARBECUE PLACE! Kyl explained to my Canadian ass the finer points of what real barbecue food is XD Also I learned that there is no such thing as vegetarian soul food. XD
-Kisses is good. *sappy*
Day Cinco
-We were going to go to the Cloisters but my sinuses and Kyl's knee said fux no. So we went to her house.
-Then this storm of fuck hit. It was like the damned storms at Merrywood in Perth. WHOOM KABOOMBAM BWAAAAH etc. Kyl's router got fried because some tech muggle didn't plug it into the surge protector. I AM VEXED.
-Her cat thought I was going to steal his box. XD
-Kyl makes epic sammiches. nom.
-Vlad shoved the storm. It was a lot faster this time than the last time we did that. Holy fuck. He says the key is to use its natural momentum but jeez.
-Project runway is epic though Tim Gunn is the only authority who can dress. Heidi's stuck in the 90s and the other guy is orange. XP
-Valerie is Vicky, I swear. It's effing uncanny.
-LONG LIVE CASANOVA.
-I said I loved her and I meant it. I am such a sappy sappy woman.
-I want to send Canadian beer and chocolate to the cabbie who got me home to my aunt's. (He was not Yellow Cab XD) He was ossum.

Day Six-o (yukie you gringo dumbass XD)
-Packing up and heading home. I hid the rose kyl gave me in my luggage, it got through customs. XD The agents checked my medical equipment but ignored the powdered incense, which is green and looks illicit XD
-A-train ride so long. New York, I love your subways that make sense though. Toronto, if you wanna follow in NY's footsteps, check their subway out.
-SKY TRAIN. Aunt almost made me bust up laughing by commenting "Monorail~"
-Inhaled a burger, frosty and cola at wendy's at JFK. Like INHALED.
-Flight was SPEEDY though what the fcuk JFK airport boarding four flights at the same gate at the SAME TIME.
-Canada customs agent was tired and a dork. "How come so many women carry suitcases as big as them O_O" "Well sir I knew the weather was supposed to be iffy so I brought enough stuff to make sure I'd stay dry."
-Pearson airport's a big fucking place. I keep forgetting until i have to NAVIGATE IT. At least the signage works.
-My girlfriend is in new York and I am in Toronto. WHY.
-...Fuck it, I have excuses to go back now. XD
-And now Harley's washing my elbow.
