Scaramouche, Scaramouche

So I got bored the other day and started thinking, and the result is this pots, which consists of me yammering on about colour symbolism in the Utena anime. There's a lot of east-west crossovers, and a lot of interesting stuff that I'm pretty sure is just me going OH NIFTY and not something Ikuhara put in on purpose (he totally put SOME stuff in on purpose)...but he COULD have, because I mean, the movie, CARS, etc.

Anyway.

I don't think these are the only meanings of the colours in the show and I'm totally happy to discuss other stuff and fling ideas aorund in comments.

In other news, I'm practicing with my tablet more! Here be some results (yes that's Untitled Story fanart, no I don't care who considers my having done it sacrilege).

I can write legibly with it now! WOO! and my digital inking is getting better. I'm proud of Bandito and Byrd especially since they're such simply rendered characters in game and I think I managed to keep that in spite of my style adaptation. (I like their little eyebrows, sue me.)

Incidentally, the fonts in A.U.S. are Baloney, Brushcut (Endboss - and as an aside theres a particular tenant I have whom I now 'see' as speaking in that font), Big Fish Ensemble (the title and ingame text, and the ghosts's talking), Bottled Fart, Candy Sniper (Shakespeare* the ninja), Copy, Fruity Drink (the bird bodhisattva), and ScienceProject.
