Fans! Fans and seniority dongwars! ABSURD! And even more so when it's some little cretin boasting about how they've been a fan for TEN YEARS OMG...in a franchise that's been around twice that (Zelda, CV).

It gets funnier when they can't keep the timeline and canon/retcon/omgwat straight.

(For the record, in the case of Castlevania: Legends, CotM, and the N64 games are gaiden as of 2003ish. Since Judgment has Cornell in it, alters characters' physical appearances critically (Trevor's eye), and changes their pasts (Sypha, Grant), and oh HAS A TIME WARP IN IT, it is gaiden. I don't care how much you sob that it's not. Cornell being in it means it's a fucking gaiden game because IGA didn't like the N64 games and retconned them. Also, JAPAN HATED JUDGMENT. IGA may be smoking up a lot but he knows that listening to the fans puts money in the bank. Plus, if he puts a panned, disliked, substandard game in timeline after turfing games BY OTHERS that he considered subpar, he looks arrogant, and oooohhhh that counts as a big fat mark against one in Japan. IGA vanished off the radar after Judgment, he's not going to be stupid and call a bomb-stankity game canonical. And the same goes for that woefully uncreative, weaksauce gaiden SotN sequel sound drama. Japanese fans called it 'tedious' and mocked it for dropping in Wesley-level Gary Stus and nerfing Maria. It's. Not. Core. Canon. Go cry in your corner alone and stop pretending to know more about Castlevania than the old farts who watched friends pull their hair out playing CV2 (GRAVEYARD DUCK), who were terrified by sudden Alucard in CV3, and who thought the Mode 7 in Super Castlevania 4 was just Da Shit. You are not superior to we the nerds who went out and hunted down the JP scripts and shit LIKE THE POINDEXTERS WE ARE so we KNOW what everyone was like in CV3, and we KNOW what the DIE MONSTER speech was in Rondo originally.

This is a very tongue in cheek VIEW MY PEEN sequence, by the by. I think seniority wars are dumb as hell, and there are plenty of newbs to the franchise who are smarter about CV than self proclaimed 'oldbies' (like the guy who cannot mathbrane/keep dates straight and has no idea that Eric's daughters in PoR could NOT have been his first girlfriend's kids - there's a gap of several years between Gwendolyn's demise at Stella and Loretta's birth).

But seriously - if a franchise is 20+ years old, saying you're a ten year veteran is not impressive.

Kiddies, people are going to draw and write what they want. If the story or image has a HERE BE CRACK/SLASH/FEMMESLASH label, you have no right to weenie-whine if you clicked to anyhow. You have a back button, dude; if you clicked accidentally, hit that shit up and get out before your virgin retinas are blah blah blah drama-rama histrionic fit goes here. If you don't like Link and Midna together, or you don't like Maria/Richter/Alucard as an OT3 catpile, or something, and the fic SAYS it has that in it, why did you click it?

And what do you think you're going to accomplish by whining and flaming?

Some of us deveels take that kind of behaviour as incentive to make more of what you're screaming at us to never do again.
